Description :

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Specialist BI architecture will have to point us in a BI strategy and help us in our  analysis and technical needs as well as in the choice of tools. He will also support the implementation of his strategy.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide BI reporting solutions (Business Intelligence): Needs Definition and scope;
  • Create a model of information needs;
  • Make technical choices;
  • Perform analysis;
  • Participate in workshops to understand the needs and foreground information;
  • Produce functional schemas and documentation, identify sources of required data and defining elements; collect metadata, help to determine the business rules and connect them.
  • Facilitate the development of activities and issues and draft reporting needs;
  • Clarify the development, configuration and integration of data to develop solutions tightly integrated;
  • Use BI tools to create reusable objects (facts, attributes, actions, filters, hierarchies, etc..).  For information products, including reports, documents, dashboards and scorecards;
  • Identify gaps in data quality and create a plan to address these gaps;
  • Write documentation and system procedures and product descriptions;
  • Optimize performance and provide post implementation support.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Oral and written), English and French;
  • Greater understanding of BI and proven experience in this area as well in data warehousing, including liaison between business units and customers, requirements capture, design of data models and creating queries and objects;
  • Great ability to communicate with colleagues and various experts and collaborate with them, and proven ability to perform analyzes and to effectively communicate the results;
  • Experience in systems analysis required;
  • Degree in a field related to information technology or information systems management, including work in database design, programming and business analysis;
  • Practical experience in the process of defining indicators and management dashboards (minimum of 2 years);
  • Minimum of 5 years experience developing and analyzing;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a BI environment;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the implementation of BI strategy;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with Oracle, PI/SQL, data warehouse and ETL.

  • Sell our products and services to customers who contact the company (incoming sales).
  • Identify and transfer the customers that need a complex solution, to the appropriate resources
  • Provide after-sales service in collaboration with the technical service.

Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Diploma of college studies in computer science, networking, engineering or combination of training in a technical discipline and appropriate experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a sales or customer service position
  • Work experience in the IT industry (asset)
  • Bilingual (French and English, spoken and written), Spanish is an asset.
