iWeb and Funio are now two separate entities
Hi all! Today is a great day as Funio becomes autonomous and will manage its own operations.
Funio’s new system for managing customer accounts, the new domain names reservation system, the knowledge base and all the other new features previously announced were put into production as of 7 am this morning.
The following changes, which will affect Funio’s shared hosting customers, are effective immediately:
Funio’s Operational changes
1 – New telephone numbers
The new phone number to reach Funio is now 514-64FUNIO (514-643-8646) or toll free in North America (1-855-64FUNIO). This phone number will allow you to get technical support, contact Funio’s billing department or get answers to your questions about shared hosting or domain names.
Customers from countries outside of North America who do not wish to incur the cost of long distance calls can still contact us by placing a call back request (found in the contact section at Funio.com). You just have to leave your phone number in the form and a member of the Funio team will call you back at your convenience.
In the coming days, iWeb’s telephone messages will be modified to remove the “Shared hosting” options.
2 – New phone support hours
To ensure better service and less waiting during peak hours, phone support will now be limited to the following periods:
- Week, 7am to 11pm (Eastern Time – Montreal)
- Weekends 8am to 8pm (Eastern Time – Montreal)
Please note that clients who want to join Funio in real time can continue to do so 24/7 via livechat (accessible on Funio’s home page : http://www.funio.com/).
3 – Communication tools
Funio now has its own blog and his own identity on social media:
- Blog: blog.funio.com
- Forum : forum.funio.com
- Maintenance status: available on Funio’s blog
- Twitter: @funiohosting
- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FunioHosting
4 – Customer Support Tools
- Funio’s customer hub for shared products is available at: hub.funio.com
- Funio’s customer-hub for domain names can be found at: client.funio.com
This completes the transition period as iWeb and Funio are now two separate entities. The new invoices will be issued in the name of Funio. Customers who currently get shared hosting / domain name services (Funio) AND dedicated server (iWeb) will now deal with two separate companies. They will receive invoices from each company and will have to seek to support from both companies separately, using two different hubs. Invoices issued before January 16, 2012 are to be paid to iWeb and invoices from January 16, 2012 on are to be paid to Funio.

Glad to hear shared hosting is being separated from dedicated/colo. Hopefully this will mean better support for dedicated servers and improved response time if dedicated tickets are not mixed with shared tickets.

Donc ma question ETES VOUS TOUJOURS EN AFFAIRE ET SI OUI POURRIEZ VOUS ME DONNER DU SERVICE ET ENTRAINER LE STAFF DES 2 COMPAGNIES SOEUR A RÉPONDRE AUX CLIENTS INTÉLLIGEMENT.
