The Vision, Mission and Values Tour
Last week, Eric and I visited our four data centers to talk with employees about two important issues. Approximately two weeks ago, we launched our new corporate visuals and a new logo. In parallel, we had also worked on an overhaul of our VMV (Vision, Mission and Values) statements which would be launched at the same time.
For both launches, we knew that simply announcing the news to our employees was not enough. We wanted to give a full explanation to put the change into context and to create a verbal exchange, so that everyone could understand the significance of these events. (more…)
iWeb achieves its highest-ever ranking among Canadian Tech companies
Montreal, QC, April 13th, 2011 – iWeb (TSX-V: IWB), Global provider of Internet hosting services and IT infrastructure, has been ranked 120 th in the 2011 Branham300, the annual listing of the top 300 Canadian Technology companies, thanks to revenues of US$29 million in 2010, iWeb’s overall ranking has been steadily improving since the Company’s first inclusion on the ranking, 241st in 2006.

As Branham Group predicted in last year’s edition of the Branham300, Canada’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry realized modest growth in 2010, as cumulative revenues for the Top 250 Canadian ICT companies increased 3.66% to CA$73.93 billion, up from CA$71.32 billion in 2009. The Montreal-based company was ranked in the ICT Hardware and Infrastructure category.
iWeb, who recently unveiled its new corporate image, announced in January that it had activated its 1000th Smart Server (the Company provisions a total of 14,000 dedicated servers, including the Smart Servers). Since becoming a public company in 2004, iWeb has been steadily growing to become one of Canada’s largest IP hosting firms, and was ranked in the top 20 movers and shakers in Canadian IT companies in 2009.

Celebrating 20 years of Linux
The Linux Foundation celebrates 20 years of the Linux operating system. For the occasion an official website was launched at this address: http://www.linuxfoundation.org/20th/.
iWeb is a big fan of Tux, the friendly mascot and it is partly due to Linux that iWeb is what it is today. Indeed, a large majority of our servers and those of our clients, use one flavor of Linux. We are celebrating this anniversary with great pleasure and we also wish to acknowledge the dedication of all the developpers and programmers who, since 1991, have been working hard to make Linux what it is today.
