Good news for Smart Servers owners! As promised when we launched the Smart Server, it is designed to evolve constantly and continues to become increasingly intelligent.

Here is the first in a series of new features that you can instantly benefit from: the automated reinstall of your operating system.

When administering a server, a full system reinstall is sometimes needed. Now there is no need to open a technical support request and wait for the next available technician.

You can now proceed yourself with this operation, in a few clicks. This feature really saves you time and improves productivity. It will bring you even more flexibility and autonomy in the way you manage your server.

How it works

It’s very simple. A new tab named ‘Software’ has appeared in the Control Center. It is now possible to manage the installation of your operating system and cPanel control panel directly from your Smart Server’s Control Center.

For those wishing to install a brand new operating system, a variety of operating systems is available: Enterprise Linux, Debian and Ubuntu LTS, all available in 32-bit or 64-bit. Also, the optional cPanel / WHM Internal control panel is offered for only $ 20/month, as well as the popular extension Fantastico De Luxe + xcontrol for as little as $ 5/month.

Several other features will soon be available on the Smart Servers in the upcoming weeks, including backup solutions based on products from R1Soft, tool to manage your firewall from within the Control Center and support for Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 CPUs.
