iWeb at the World Solar Challenge with the ETS
We are proud to announce that our logo is speeding at 85kmph on the Éclipse VI prototype in the Australia desert. ETS, or “École des Technologies Supérieure de Montréal”, partipates currently in the World Solar Challenge which is the ultimate challenge in terms of renewable energy.
Their challenge is to design and build a car able to cross the mighty and huge australian continent (3000km from Darwin, Northern Territory to Adelaide, South Australia) using sun rays as main source of energy, against other friendly teams which will have the same objectives.
Since iWeb is a company requiring lots of energy and which always looks for ways to be greener, our association with the Éclipse team was a great fit. The sun is the ultimate source of energy and we will be looking forward to use it to power our data centers. To make it happen, we need to help organizations like ETS which is researching on how to improve solar technology and how to store energy in batteries, with minimal loss.
You can follow the evolutiokn of the race on the World Solar Challenge website or on our Facebook fan page.
