iWeb systems back online: customer hub, email services, forum and iWeb blog

Published on July 3, 2009 at 3:06 pm by iWeb-Jean-Luc in: Status

A hard drive defect was the cause of an immediate crash on our storage unit “Mara” which hosts:

- the email clusters Jinn and Lumiva
- the customer hub
- the iWeb forum and Blog

Usually, hard drives defects are detected automatically by the central unit and are isolated from the disk array. In this case, the unit was unable to detect the hard drive defect, and began to restart contiously. We have been able to identify the hard drive with the help of our provider’s engineers.

We are currently designing a plan to prevent this to happen again. We will keep you informed shortly.
