StatusVideo Tours of our Data Centers
For all of you who have a dedicated server or a web hosting solution at iWeb Technologies, we have just published videos of our 3 data centers at iWeb.
Each of these videos mix a 3D visualization, to see the center’s architecture, as well as video shots to get you see more details.
The first video covers iWeb-HD, located at 3185 Hochelaga, Montreal. This center was iWeb’s first data center, and is now used for provisioning and also hosting servers.
The second video shows iWeb-CL, the heart of iWeb’s network operations, and also the the biggest (and the most modern) data center of iWeb.
This center is located at 5945 Couture.
The third video shows iWeb-CO, which is the company’s headquarters, but also our main data center for colocation.
iWeb-Co is at 20, place du Commerce, Montreal.
These videos can be seen at our website’s section covering data centers.
Previously, we had text as well as photos, but nothing is as efficient and as quick as videos to give you an instant grasp of iWeb’s infrastructure, and evaluate buying decisions.
They also highlight characteristics from our data centers, such as generators, UPS, networks, Air conditioning units, as well as biometric security, cameras, security gates and other necessary security measures to protect physical access to the servers.

Is there any scope for us having an unbranded version for our own websites? I’d like my clients to see where the dedicated servers are without revealing to my competitors who it’s with. As long as we are careful with the wording on how we show the video of course.

woow, very impressive datacenters !!! I’m now just curious if my server is on iWeb-HD or iWeb-CL :) It’s not on iWeb-CO because there’s no Dedicated Servers area there ….

RE: Unbranded videos
Good to here you are considering it. Obviously we’d have strict rules on how we show the video and words so as not to mislead anyone which we would abide by. Perhaps you could offer a AVI/WMV download to us so that we can put our own titles at the start or something?

Paul, we’re thinking more about rendering ourselves the videos, with the logo and text you would be submitting.
There were cases where the material were republished elsewhere, used by another web hosting company, completely unrelated to iWeb. just because the pictures looked nice…
So if the files were made public, we’d run that risk.

Nice videos. It was nice to learn more about the company and what is needed to be done to serve the websites. I was surprised by the amount of security and backbone that was required. :) Very impressive. iWeb also looks like a nice place to work. If I lived in the Montreal area I would probably apply there. :)

Leonardo, you should ask your account manager, they will tell you straight away where your dedicated server is located
