Update: New Tools for the iWeb Community

iweb community I have presented an array of tools and web services in a recent post, with the goal of gathering a community of web developers, sys-admins, web designers and customers of iWeb. We had many comments and feedback from the post, both on the blog, twitter and on the forum.

This is a warming start, and as such, I’d like to thank those who joined us early, such as Scott Lewin, Martin Lemieux, Gary Jones from Bluefur, zoonini, and many others.

Here are new tools and updates on the project:

  • NEW: There’s now a iWeb LinkedIn group. I expect web professionals to join the group, and share knowledge, expertise, and also talent in order to build and improve their websites and servers, built upon iWeb’s infrastructure.
  • NEW:  The definitive twitter account for iweb is now @iwebtech. Add the account to your contacts, share websites, tell about your experience, or get news from the iWeb Technologies company
  • NEW: There is also an identi.ca account for iweb, at @iweb. Identi.ca is an open source version of twitter, with better tools, features, and a very promising future. Both twitter and identi.ca accounts will be tracked. There is a new iWeb group for instance, where you can share with other users
  • For those who haven’t seen it, the Facebook group is also active.
  • NEW: You might have already seen the link, but regular polls are also introduced. Polls and surveys allows us to know what you care about, your comments and let us know what you think currently of iWeb. For January, I have embedded below a survey. Please fill out the survey, it will allow iWeb to build better products for you.

Note: Thanks to Wufoo who has crafted a great tool for creating surveys.
