  • Suse Studio is a new application that lets Suse Server users to get a fine-tuned server appliance, with just the right components, and customized to their precise needs. The result is a VMWare image, or can be put on a DVD, or a USB Key. Suse Studio is interesting because it’s the first time a Linux distribution offers “mass customization”
  • AMD has launched 2 new families of Opteron server chips. The HE series are meant for low-power servers, with an optimized energy efficiency (55W), while the SE series are for high-end performant servers (105W). The HE runs at 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 GHz while the SE runs at 2.8Ghz. 
  • The Zune is an unpopular music player, with reported sales half than last year’s. Read more about Zune DeathWatch
  • Windows 7: Not so good for enterprise
