iWeb8; Proactive no-spam tolerance network

The Spamhaus organization recently awarded iWeb a Proactive Anti-Spam network award in the fight against Spam. Spamhaus is an international non-profit organization that tracks Internet’s Spammers and maintains a blacklist of IPs (SBL) from which spam is sent. This blacklist is often used by the various ISP’s to ensure an anti-spam protection to their own customers. Spamhaus also handles various spam complaints and works with Law Enforcement entities to identify and pursue spammers worldwide.
iWeb supports this organization in its fight against Spam and if occasionally some of our customers allow themselves this activity, we quickly intervene with the faulty customer and work in association with Spamhaus to remove spamming servers from our network and keep iWeb’s IP space out of the blacklist.

This really made me laugh. I block all IWeb Ip’s at the firewall for all of my clients due to the amount of spam that gets spewed from this network.

When you host more than 10 000 servers it happens that some of the 10 000 try to abuse. I do not think blocking all iWeb IPs is a good solution, as blocking IPs from our competitors. Spamhaus is highly trustable when it comes to spam and we work closely with them to remove spammers from our network.

I had a client contact me with a bouncebacked email from my IWeb dedicated server.
It was blocked by MIPspace!? although it is not blacklisted. Come to find out I also tested IWEBS IP and found the same. So I’m sure all IWEB’s IP’s are blocked by this.
I sent some info to IWEB but the only response I got was “We sent in a request to have your IP delisted”. It is not just my IP.
You can run a test here…..http://www.mipspace.com/
