iWeb8.com Becomes the Leading Canadian Distributor of cPanel®

We are proud to annouce our new cPanel® distributor status. As an authorized cPanel partner for the last years, we are also proud to become the leading Canadian distributor of cPanel®. The cPanel® control panel, which enjoys a world-wide reputation for simplifying server management, is supplied by a number of partner hosting firms. However, only a small percentage of the latter are authorized to distribute the licence beyond their own networks. iWeb?s distributor status gives it the right not only to lease internal licences for servers hosted by iWeb, but to lease external licences to any party.
cPanel® & WHM? (Web Host Manager) is a fully functional control panel that simplifies Web server administration. Primarily used by Web hosting firms, cPanel® has been available for several years from iWeb8.com data centers in conjunction with dedicated server and colocation solutions. As an authorized cPanel® distributor, we will now supply external licences, which can be installed on any server hosted in a third-party data center.
Distributors are selected by cPanel® for their extensive experience supporting their products and we appreciate this mark of confidence. The growing popularity of SaaS (Software as a Service), along with the value our clients place on this control panel, augurs well for the success of this addition to our service line.

Datacenter Expansion: New Panoramic Pictures!
Here are the latest panoramic pictures of the work going on at iWEB-CL. Those new pictures show some datacenter sections not shown in the previous pictures; the electric room, the new building expansion section as well as the future phase 3 dedicated servers section. Those pictures will give you a good indication of the work in progress and it gives an excellent idea of the size of each section. We also included some detailed explanations of each part of the datacenter.

The panoramic pictures explained?
| Zone3: Electric Room Section | ![]() |
| Here’s our electric room. The third 500kvA UPS was recently installed but has not been activated yet. We have to wait for the installation of a new power entry of 5000A to replace the current power entry to be able to activate the new UPS. A little more to the right on the picture, is a mezzanine which will host new transformers. | |
| Zone4: Dedicated Section Expansion | ![]() |
| Here is a general view of our future dedicated servers section. This section will be modified to host servers during phase 3 of our data center expansion which should begin probably near October. We will give you more details on this subject when the work will begin. At the moment, this section is only used for storage. | |
| Zone6: New Building Expansion Section | ![]() |
| Here’s a picture of the new building expansion section. As we mentioned in a past publication, this section will shelter mainly the water towers which will supply the air conditioning units. Recently, a part of the walls were installed as well as a part of the roof. Soon, a concrete slab will be poured to be able to receive the water towers. | |

New panoramic pictures will be published to keep you up to date with the last developments of the other sections.

iWeb’s Network; Once Again at the Top of Netcraft’s Ranking.

iWeb is proud to rank at the top of Netcraft’s Top 10 most reliable networks for March 2007. iWeb shares March’s “Most Reliable” award with three other Web Hosting providers. This is the second time iWeb tops the ranking, the fourth time in the past few months that iWeb’s network is listed as one of the 10 most reliable networks among several world class web hosters! You can read Netcraft’s full article at News Netcraft.
The Netcraft analysis is made by measuring, every 15 minutes from several different access points, the accessibility to the main Web site (in our case iWeb8.Com) of the listed Web hosters. Please note that the web hosting companies located in the United States are privileged in the classification over other hosters in the world because most of the servers that collect the data are located in the United States.
By default the hosters sites are ranked in order of failed requests and time to connect, but other criteria can also be considered. Once the analysis is made, Netcraft makes available the response times of fifty leading hosting providers’ sites of this ranking, which iWeb is part of.
More information on the measurement process and the last 15 minutes measurements are available at http://uptime.netcraft.com/perf/reports/Hosters
