iWeb; Environment friendly

For iWeb, the environment is very important. Besides recycling any cardboard of computer products, iWeb use RoHS motherboards. What is the difference between RoHS motherboards and regular motherboards? It is very simple, RoHS motherboards contain no substances environmentally harmful such as lead, cadmium and mercury.

Indeed, ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS) and Industrial Development Bureau along experts from other related areas developed since may 2004 a environmentally safe motherboard, allowing ASUS motherboard to be truly adopting and abiding the environmental protection regulations.

The RoHS directive devised by European Parliament is effective since July 1st, 2006. All the electric and electronic products entering Europe have to meet the standards. US, Japan, Canada and other developed countries also have similar regulations and control for such environmentally harmful substances.

A further step for a better environment!

  1. Great work, good to hear that iWeb is not forgetting this important aspect of doing business. Environmental issues concern us all and every organization should contribute whenever it can.

  2. It is good to hear that there are organizations out there that are conscious of the environmental impact of the equipment they use. If we can only get everyone else to do the same!
