Sorry for being late in giving you news about our visit to Hostingcon 2006 but we are taking the time today to make a brief return on our Las Vegas Hostingcon visit.

Sylvain and myself have been surprised by the focus the event had on our industry. We visited and even participated as exhibitors in shows and exhibitions of this kind in the past, but we never felt so concerned and at the right place than at Hostingcon. Indeed, the conferences, the exhibitors as well as the visitors of the Hostingcon corresponded exactly to our working environment and everything was in direct relation with our daily tasks. It is something rare in such events.

An important modification to the e-mail service on our shared mail environnement Jinn is planned tomorrow Wednesday July 25th. A new anti-SPAM appliance will be installed. For now on all incoming e-mails hosted on Jinn will have to pass through this new appliance. Clients who do not currently have anti-SPAM enabled on their account will notice an important drop on the amount of junk mail they receive.

This modification will cause no service interruption and concerns only clients hosted on the Jinn shared-hosting mail server.

11/07/2006 New Generator Installation and Removal of the temporary generator has been completed. The new generator was delivered last week and preparations for the transfer occured this afternoon. Posted earlier : We are going to remain connected on the temporary generator thus no critical manipulation will take place today. The transfer from the temporary generator to the new one will take place tomorrow during the afternoon and the iWEB-HD datacenter will be powered by generators for approximately 15 minutes to make some load tests. We will have more details tomorrow and we will inform you of the exact time of this tranfer.
