iWeb-CL : Phase I Almost Completed

We are happy to let you know that the Phase I of our new datacenter (iWEB-CL) is almost completed and the new datacenter should be in production as planned starting June 1st. We have some new pictures for you in this post of the work in progress so far.
The air-conditioning units were installed. The 500kW generator used at iWEB-HD was replaced by a new 750kW generator and moved to the iWEB-CL site. The generator at iWEB-CL should be installed and ready to go in production later this week. The colocation zone structure has been completed and we are waiting for the delivery of the metal racks. The only missing steps before going in production are the security systems installation (surveillance cameras, access card readers, biometric reader, alarm system, etc.) and the Internet network installation. All this should be completed before June 1st.

I work for Whym Metals located in Montreal and would like to know if you need any steel requirements i.e. racks or other custom work. We can offer a quote on submited drawings or plans you may have.

I was wondering, Would possible Colo-customers be able to pick which Datacenter their rack would be in?

We do not have any more colocation space available on iWEB-HD so all the openings must be done in the new iWEB-CL datacenter. The only possibility of acquiring a rack on iWEB-HD would be that one becomes available. You can contact a account manager for more information on availability.
